Beginning

I was born on July 29, 1966 in Kuressaare and I’m living here at this moment. I guess my interest for art started from childhood, in a time when my father took me with him to the art club. Usally children will start to have an interest in what is surrounding them, and if somebody nearby is painting, then it will affect you. To go to the Tartu Artschool was a natural result of things, even I had a choice - a sport or an art. I choose art. I finished school in 1985 and right then had my first personal exhibition. Mainly I painted portraits, Saaremaa’s landscapes and paintings of nature (some paintings).
In following years I often partook in united exhibition’s of Saaremaa Artclub. I have had some personal exhibitions in Finland and in Estonia and also have illustrated some books in the mean time. I’m the owner of a small graphic design company.

Who is looking with all your heart shall find.

Thank’s to my believing grandma I have had knowledge all my life that there is a God. I sang spiritual hymns when I was ten. Friends thought that I had gone crazy. But if you are not holding to these things, then in some moment a spiritual understanding will dissapear. Now I see, that sometimes a person must fall very low to really break before God and to give Him leadership.
Years went by and I went away from God. In 1987 after service in the army I decided to start a new life. But as time went by I fell deeper and deeper into the world and sin. Hoping that alchol could help me forget, I started to drink more and more. As I fell more into this endless swamp, despair started to grow and the consequences were more alcohol. To come out from this suicidal spiral I cried out to God: "If this is possible, pull me out from this."
In 1990 I purchased a Bible. I started to read and didn’t desire to drink. But when my health was again restored, I continued in an old way. In company I started increasingly to speak about what I had read but then others said, that I must live the life about what I am speaking and then begin to proclaim this to us. Later I understood, that God prepared my heart in this time. Despair was growing, I didn’t want to live in the old way but I couldn’t live the new way. In this period I got two revelations, where I understood, that to continue in an old fashion means to die and I felt that there is power in the name of Jesus.
In 1993 I turned to God: "I had no understanding to what church I needed to go, direct me to the right people and then I will go with them and will give my life to You." God heard this prayer and I met with youth who preached the Gospel in the streets and they invited me to come to the Good News service. This was what I had been waiting for. At the end of the service they invited people to come and to give their lives to Jesus. I knew in my heart, that if I’m not going now, then I’m never going. This was one of the hardest steps in my life. My heart said "yes" but my mind "no". Don’t be a fool, maybe nothing is happening. Thank God, it happened. When I got out from the service room I was a completely new person. In one moment tremendous burdens were removed. I was completely free from my sins, there came wonderful peace and joy into my heart. Even though nothing was changed outwardly, I was completely new inwardly – thank God!
People who have gone through the new birth hates the old sinful life and desires to live for God. Our heart (spirit) will become new in a moment but our soul (intellect, feelings, emotions) will change step by step by being in the Word of God and in fellowship with Him. This process will last all of your life.
My life started to go very fast in a better way. Praise God that my heart became new, also outward situations started to become better, family problems and material conditions.
From 1993 I have painted christian art. This is best for me. I can be with the Word of God and to put on canvas or paper what God has revealed to me. The meaning of christian life is not to serve Him because of personal gains, but to live God’s life and to become more like Christ, that we can gain what God has prepared for us before we even have been born. This is a process of continual changing and growing and this will last continually under the grace of God. Only from this kind of life can we have complete satisfaction.

What you have today and who you are today is a result of what you have believed in the past.

The purpose of human beings is to bring glory to God with all your life.

If you have become a child of God then whatever work God has called you to do, He wants you to do this wholeheartedly and it will bring glory to His name. I believe that God has called me to proclaim His Word through art. I believe that these paintings will touch hearts of many people. Because God’s Word says, that His Word will not return empty to Him but will complete this good work that it is sent to do and I believe that this is true about the painted Word also.

"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12
God has wonderful plans for all our lives. It can be completed only when we give our lives to His leading. He desires, that we might live this life He has prepared for us. Maybe you are asking what must I do that my life can be right with God. If you have a true desire in your heart to get free from your sins, to live a successful, blessed life and to live forever, then just pray this prayer in faith and God will answer you:

Dear Heavenly Father !
I’m coming to you in the name of Jesus and You are not pushing me away, because it is written in the Bible:
"Whoever will call on the name of the lord will be saved."
I believe in my heart, that Jesus is Your Son. I believe that He bare on the cross my sins that I can become right with God. Jesus is Lord! Jesus, please come into my heart! Forgive my sins! Teach me how to walk in Your ways! Save me! Thank you God, for everlasting life! Amen.

God is saying: "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
So I encourage you, if you will look with a sincere heart then God will answer your prayers.
